WHY SHOULD YOU WRITE AN EBOOK?

1-BUILD TRUST AND ESTABLISH AUTHORITY

Ebooks are a great way to build the trust of your audience and to establish yourself as an authority in your niche. They are also a way to present yourself as an expert in your niche.

2-GROW YOUR REACH

Ebooks are a catalyst to getting your name out there and getting noticed. They help put yourself in front of a bigger audience

3-GROW YOUR IMPACT AND HELP MORE PEOPLE

Ebooks will help you to maximise your impact and make a difference to a larger audience.

4-MAKE PASSIVE INCOME

Ebooks are a great way to earn passive income. You can create an ebook once at little to no cost and then keep selling it for as long as you want.

HOW TO COME UP WITH THE PERFECT EBOOK IDEA

You can only earn money from your ebook if you have a plan.If your topic has nothing to do with your niche then you will only confuse your audience. If you only write on a topic which you think will sell well but does not solve any of your reader’s problems then your ebook sales will flop. Here are some ways that you can chose the perfect ebook idea:

ASK YOUR AUDIENCE

The most simplest thing would be to ask your audience if they like your idea as you are making it for them. You can ask your audience to take a short survey. You can use a free survey like Survey Monkey or Typeform.

THINK ABOUT YOUR WHY

Before you start writing your ebook or even plan it out you have to first get clear on your why.

THINK ABOUT YOUR AUDIENCE

Your audience is coming to you to solve a specific problem. You can present the solution to their problem in the form of an ebook.

HOW TO QUICKLY WRITE YOUR EBOOK

Depending on your topic your ebook can range anywhere from 5000 words to even 30000. You can write an ebook in 30 days without even sacrificing the quality. Here are some simple steps to write your ebook.

STEP1:GATHER YOUR EXISTING CONTENT

There are chances that you have already written about your ebook topic , or hosted webinars about it , or already created a course about it. If you have your topic in video format you can trancribe it to use in your ebook. You can save all of your content in one place by using a service like Evernote

STEP2:OUTLINE YOUR EBOOK

Unlike your already made content your ebook should have a better narrative flow. It should be easy to consume and should take people from their problem to their solution.

When you are writing your ebook you should also see it as a reader if it is easy for you to read and understand.

You should write down and compile your ideas and make sure you know what to write in each chapter. You can use a free service like Evernote to do this.

STEP3:WRITE YOUR EBOOK

You can now start compiling you content into a meaningful form. You ahould make sure that your ebook has a flow otherwise it will just be a bunch of essays. You can first create a draft then fo forward from that point. I recommend setting down an hour or two to fo this.

STEP4: EDIT YOUR EBOOK

After writing your ebook you should edit it. There are a few ways you can do this

  • Hire a proofreader, copy editor or an editor( PS you can also hire me for proofreading services. Contact me at [email protected] for this)
  • Give it to your friends or audience for free
  • Use Grammarly to proofread it .

You don’t have to create a perfect ebook in your first try. You can also publish it then come back and make necessary or required changes.

STEP5:FORMAT AND DESIGN YOUR EBOOK

You’ve put together all the chapters now the only thing left is to design and format your ebook. You can design your ebook in Microsoft Word or Pages and save it as a PDF.If you are designing your ebook yourself look at some of your favourite books for ideas.

A course is a type if passive income. But first what is passive income?? Passive income is the income in which you only have to make a product once and profit from it your entire life. I’ll show you how you can make an online course in 9 simple steps.

  1. Commit to creating a course
  2. Choosing a profitable idea
  3. Test your idea
  4. Create your course outline
  5. Create your course content
  6. Get your course online
  7. Set a price for your course
  8. Get students for your course
  9. Launch your course

STEP1:COMMIT TO CREATING YOUR COURSE

The first thing is that you should commit to creating an online course .

STEP2:CHOOSE A PROFITABLE IDEA

You should choose a profitable idea. You should choose something that at least has one or two courses because if there is no course related to the idea which you want , then people are not intrusive in learning about it.

STEP3:TEST YOUR IDEA:

Before launching your course you should first test your idea and see if people are interested. There are two ways that you can test your idea. First you can create a mini course and ask people to take it or you can create a launch page and ask people to signup to your waiting list.

STEP4:CREATE YOUR COURSE OUTLINE:

You should start small and start with the problem your course solves.Think of your course as your curriculum.Think about the topics you want to teach

STEP5:CREATE YOUR COURSE CONTENT

Most online courses are video courses but you can also include worksheets and the transcripts of your videos. You should not spend too much time creating content because when you are a beginner then it will take some practice to become perfect.

STEP6:GET YOUR COURSE ONLINE

You can get your course online by using a course software. I recommend Teachable for this. They help you start your online course and you can also connect it to your website. They make it really easy to create landing pages etc.

STEP7:SET A PRICE FOR YOUR COURSE

The main thing your are worried about is will people buy my course? Is it too expensive? Well Teachable gives you a free pricing calculator which you can use to calculate the price of your course.

STEP8:GET STUDENTS FOR YOUR COURSE

Market about your course on all the platforms you are active in. Ask your friends and family to recommend you.

You can either keep your course open all year round or you can keep a certain open amd close date and ask people to signup to your email list.

STEP9:LAUNCH YOUR COURSE

You’ve priced your course , you’re marketed it , Now the only thing left is to launch it. GOOD LUCK
